Solid wood beds

Solid-wood beds are a single timber frame in birch, pine, oak, ash, alder or beech. Legs, rails and headboard are wood. Slats carry the mattress. This section does not sell veneered chipboard shells.

Pine is the most affordable and lightest. Birch is pale and dense. Oak and ash are harder, with open grain, and cost more. Alder is darker before tint. Finish is clear lacquer or tint. See samples in the Riga showroom; a screen does not match timber colour.

Sizes are listed on each model. Overall size is not the mattress size. If the frame must go up stairs, put the door width in the enquiry. Assembly is not in the price; fittings are. Choose the mattress separately so firmness matches the frame and how you sleep.
